It is a great WFH (work from home) house - plenty of people used it as such over 2020! -Located half a block from the SEPTA bus 48 and 7 routes, one block from route 32 (10-15 minutes to city center); walking to Center City takes 25-35 minutes depending where you go. -Easy to access Center City, West Philly and North Philly businesses, medical centers and universities (University of Pennsylvania, Drexel, Temple, Jefferson, La Salle, St. Joseph's, Villanova) -20-25 minutes to the airport -Highly walkable neighborhood, close to restaurants, bars, coffee shops, grocery, salons, drugstores, parks, as well as world famous museums (Philadelphia Museum of Art, Barnes Foundation, Franklin Institute). I can give you a list of recommendations! -5 minute walk to Indego Bike Share docking station -3 bedrooms and 1 bathroom on second floor: front BR has a queen bed, middle has a twin, and back bedroom has a full sized bed. Bathroom has a bi-fold door. -Comfortable mattresses, plenty of extra blankets if needed -Middle bedroom has a desk -All bedrooms have custom built-in open reach-in closets as well as black-out shades -Towels and linens provided -WiFi, Smart TV (for Netflix, etc.) for all streaming apps -Utilities included (we have solar power so you'll be doing the environment good!) -Central heating (forced air); split system air conditioning plus moveable floor-standing unit for 2nd floor, window unit for 1st floor; all bedrooms have ceiling fans -Fully equipped kitchen w/stainless steel appliances -Full laundry on 1st floor -Full house water filtration system (tap water tastes great!) -Hardwood floors throughout This house was renovated to be a short-term rental property so it has all the comforts of home with all the practicalities of short-term stays. There is free on-street parking though as is the case with most neighborhoods in Philly, there are some streets with weekday restrictions, and parking after 6pm can be a challenge (you may have to walk a few blocks but you'll always find something). If you need to park I can provide plenty of tips, though there is also a pay lot a few blocks away at 23rd and Fairmount Ave. ($13 for up to 12 hours). Guests have full house access, though there is no patio access and basement is unfinished.

The breath-taking panoramic view overlooks the harbor, the cruise ships and the wonderfully historic Strand Street. The space The Mensing Brothers and Company Building offers a rich slice of Texas history. Gustave and William Mensing, came to Galveston in 1868 and formed a firm of cotton factors in 1873. One of the large upstairs rooms was used for a cotton sample roof, where cotton factors displayed their samples, and the season's crops were auctioned off. The structure is stuccoed to resemble stone, and the lower floor is treated as an arcade with round arches springing from brick piers. Originally, it was topped by a large pediment, and urns decorated the cornice. Now, it is a mixed-use building, with retail space on the bottom floor and beautiful lofted residences on top.
